Gloucester Brewery was founded in 2011 in the historical docks of Gloucester. They have a vision to brew creative and sustainable beers and all their beers are brewed with natural ingredients. They have an increasing selection of beers in various styles available all of which are Vegan.
Zero Gravity is the breweries first attempt at an alcohol free beer first brewed in February 2023 and has since had a re-brew where they have put it into larger 500ml cans. The beer is also available in their tap room Warehouse 4 located in an old warehouse in the historical Gloucester Docks.
Zero Gravity Initial Review
Zero Gravity is Gloucester Breweries first attempt at an alcohol free beer.
Having lived in Gloucestershire for a number of years and previously only a short walk from where the brewery is located it was great to see a local brewery trying its hand at an alcohol free beer. I have had many beers from this brewery in the past and never been disappointed will this beer be the same?

The beer has been brewed using Citra and Galaxy hops which seem to be used quite often in alcohol free IPAs. It pours a typical light straw colour that you’d expect from and has a small head to it. The aroma is quite interesting as comes across quite dank hops. It seems to be missing the fruit aromas I would be expecting.
The dank hops are there in the flavour too, but give way to a burst of tropical fruit that coats the mouth and produces a great mouth feel. Prior to this review I also tried this beer at their tap room – and interestingly on that occasion – I did not notice it being so dank and was more a smooth and refreshing tropical flavour to the beer there.

I quite enjoyed this beer and on tap it is even better so if you can I’d highly recommend getting along to the tap room and trying it. I’ve noticed this beer popping up in quite a few local bottle shops so it seems quite readily available in Gloucestershire, however, at time of writing it only seems to be available online direct from the brewery and not from any of the main alcohol free retailers.
Overall a great first attempt at alcohol free and one I could easily spend an evening drinking.
Where Can I Buy Zero Gravity?

Overall Verdict
Zero Gravity is a really enjoyable IPA that is nice and refreshing however some may find the Dank hops not to be to their taste.
As a first venture into alcohol free Gloucester brewery have impressed and produced an IPA that not only stands up well against other Alcohol free IPAs but also Higher ABV IPAs. Hopefully this beer becomes one of their core beers and availability increases with it becoming available from some of the bigger online alcohol free retailers.
I look forward to seeing what they do in the future and hopefully they will add a few more alcohol free beers to their range.
